1. Right to Data Erasure
In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), all Customers and Salon Partners have the right to request the permanent deletion and erasure of their personal information held across BookMySaloonWala's systems.
🗑️ How to Request Account & Data Deletion
Method 1: In-App Self-Service (Salon Owners / Profile)
Go to Settings / Profile > Danger Zone > Delete Account. Follow the confirmation prompts to initiate immediate deactivation.
Method 2: Email Submission (Customers & Guests)
Email [GRIEVANCE EMAIL] from your registered email address or phone number with the subject line “Data Deletion Request - [Your Mobile Number]”.
2. Processing Timeline & Verification
- Verification: We verify your identity via OTP or email confirmation to prevent malicious deletion requests.
- Execution: Deletion of active profile records, device push tokens, and communication subscriptions is completed within 30 days.
3. Statutory Retention Exceptions
In accordance with Indian statutory requirements, certain minimal records are retained:
- Financial & Tax Metadata: Invoices issued to salons, GST records, and audit logs retained for statutory tax compliance up to 36 months.
- Security & Abuse Prevention: IP logs and blacklisted identifiers associated with verified fraud or harassment to preserve platform safety.
